JEANNE A. HOSTICKA (nee Vondenberg) age 73. Passed away at 12:57 Am on Saturday November 11, 2017, at Mount Royal Villa Care Center, where she resided and under the care of Crossroads Hospice. She was born in Tiffin, Ohio on April 19, 1944, to Francis and Marion (Montz) Vondenberg. She was the eldest of three siblings.

Beloved mother of Gina Wright (Tom Gigante), Teresa D'Alessandro (Enzo), Lisa Speckman (Ron Paganelli), Andy Trujillo (Claire) and Jaime Hosticka. Cherished grandmother of Benjamin, Jennifer, Lyndsay, Maggie, James Ann, Katyana, Lily, Carter, Logan and Blake. Great grandmother of Olivia, Madelyn, Tristan, Brantly and Levi. Sister of Judy Wendorff (John) and the late Bruce Vondenberg. Daughter of the late Francis and Marion Vondenberg). Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Jeanne has a zest for life. She was an avid gardener and loved planting trees and flowers. She also maintained beautiful indoor plants throughout the year. She baked and cooked for her children and made sure all were very prompt for meals. At dinner time the neighborhood could hear her calling her children's names one at a time out of the kitchen window, regardless of spring, summer, fall or winter. The household was kept immaculate at all time and decorated from her heart with her art for every holiday. Every summer the family spent a good amount of time at the Metroparks enjoying frosted spiced cupcakes, the beach with pail and buckets in tow or at Hinckley swimming and catching crayfish. Geauga Lake in Aurora was always an annual event as well as, Sea World and Cedar Point. Winter months were spent playing records and finding crafts for everyone to keep busy such as, macramé, hook rugs and embroidery... as well as, Sledding, throwing snowballs or just playing in the snow.

Jeanne also loved birds, both wild and domesticated. Her favorite bird was the owl, of which she developed a fondness for when she was a young girl and delivered newspapers in the early AM in Mentor Headlands. She went home explaining to dad that she heart a "whooo" everywhere she went and was afraid. Here father explained to her that those were the owls calling each other to let them know she had walked passed and was on her way near them and to make sure each other know she was safe.

Private family services will be held.
