Everyone says the same tired old words during times like this, that although sincere, seem to lose some of their meaning and ring hollow because we have all heard them applied to others before time and time again. That being said, like most others I feel that I had the best dad in the world. Although I had nothing to do with choosing who would be my father, I could not have chosen a better one if I had. The same applies to my mom. Life without either of them is incomprehensible and meaningless. We were and remain the 3 paisanos forever. Not even death can change that. Dad, remember to get that Cleveland Press truck ready with all our past family pets so you can pick mom, my sister Christine and myself up at the "Pearly Gates" when our time comes. Til then, I hope you get to spend time with all the relatives that you missed out on.
