How has it been that 2 years have passed?! I've been to see you twice, and haven't found your exact place of rest. Third time is a charm, my friend.

Jake was a student of mine 2 summers ago at OU. In a class of more than 70 people, Jake stood out for his intelligence, earnestness and effort. He really wanted to be great. He was a leader on his team. I met with Jake and his teammates outside of class quite a bit, and always enjoyed my interactions with him. Even when they were wrestling with really difficult questions, Jake always had a great attitude about it. Always smiling.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this difficult time. Such a special young man with a kind, sensitive, warm and witty soul. I pray his faith was always with him and I feel privileged to have known him in this life. Godspeed.
