Chuck was simply the best... How shocking to hear he has passed, and so young. I am so sad. I do thank the Lord Jesus for the opportunity to meet his lovely wife Stacee at our 40th Class Reunion(my heart goes out to you, Stacee), and to catch up with Chuck after so many years. He was the most important boy of my youth, and what a blessing he was. From Greenbriar through VF, a kind and fun companion and

Chuck was one of the brightest & funniest guys I ever knew. We spent quite a bit of time together through the 4 years at Northwestern and had some great times through the years after graduation. My condolences to Stacee and extended family; RIP my friend...

I grew up with Chuck. He lived on the street behind me as children. We played sports together, we were in cub scouts together and he would be over for scout meetings when mom would host them and always the biggest guy in the room. He was always a great guy and class act even as kids. To my old friend Chuck, it was my honor to know you and consider you a friend. You will be missed and remembered always. Until we meet again.

I am so sad to hear this news. Chuck and I go back to grade school. He was a great friend for a long time. A significant part of my past dies with him. I will miss him. He smiled easily and often and he had a way of making the best out of every situation. Stacee, I am thinking of you now. I am so sorry for your loss. I know Chuck loved and respected you greatly

Deepest regrets to all of Chuck's family and friends. I got to know Chuck better after high school then during school. My apologies for not being able to attend his memorial on Friday.

Though we've only been neighbors for a few years Stacee, you, Chuck, and of course Bella have truly touched my family. Chuck will be greatly missed in the neighborhood. Thanks for the morning light for the kids going to school.
Our condolences,
Mike, Terri, and Tia

Stacee and Family,

As everyone has said, we are all saddened to hear of Chuck's passing at what truly is still a young age. For me, he was so welcoming as our class president and even when we were older attending our reunions. I just saw him at our reunion and he is still the same guy I remember from back in school.

I know it has to be terribly hard for the family. My thoughts are with you.

This is the kind of thing that shakes us all for different reasons. I grew up 6 houses away from Chuck. From his mom feeding a voracious group of kids (Kovach, Morris, Mason, Metzger) during the summer and after school to his accomplishments through life. He added a great deal to life and he certainly will be missed. It definitely was wonderful to spend several hours with him at the reunion.

The sad thing is that he's gone. The great thing is that we had him for 59 years. Sleep well Chuck.
